Project Bedamayich Chayi  - Yishuv Itamar Has Broken Ground on a Permanent Bet Knesset

Itamar has begun an inspiring new project called "Bedamayich Chayi" in memory of its fifteen martyrs who were killed in terror attacks over the last six years. It entails the building of a permanent synagogue which is desperately needed for our growing community.  Thanks to the generous support of Dr. Irving and Cherna Moskowitz we have been able to break ground and pour the cement foundations for our shul. We hope that this project will be a living testimony that those who gave their lives for the land of Israel did not do so in vain, but they continue to serve as our driving force in building the land of Israel.

As always, we turn to our brothers in America, who are key to redeeming our land, to join us in this important mission.  We are offering a variety of options to donors:  international membership; dedication of rooms; yahrtzeit plaques; and the purchase of nails, bricks, and cubic meters.  (Prices listed below.)

Option List

International membership – $250 per year

Nail - $18

Brick - $180

Cubic meter - $1800

Yartzeit plaque - $1000

Those interested in international membership, dedicating rooms, or wishing to offer additional suggestions may contact us directly for more details

Mikvah (ritual bath)

Itamar is building a Mikvah on its hilltops and is in need of funds to complete it. Any help in this tremendous mitzvah project will be greatly appreciated. Not having a mikvah on the hilltops causes a major problem for women who have to go to the mikvah on Friday night and on holidays. The distance from the hilltops to the center of Itamar is too far of a walk on Shabbat and is out of the Tichum Shabbat.

General projects:

Books for Library this year we would like to add 500 new books since we have to build up the library – each book is around 12 – 15 dollars. Of course whatever money we raise for books we will be greatly appreciate by all the avid readers that live on Itamar.

Family assistance  to sponsor a family for Shabbat food will cost 50 dollars a family per week for food baskets - there are between 12 and fifteen families that need assistance.

How can I help?

We know that these are big projects, so any kind of assistance would be a tremendous help.
