Bible Contest (Chidon Tanach)
Itamar is G-d willing planning a Chidon Tanach (a Bible contest) that is going to be held this coming spring. Prizes will be given out on Independence Day. Four different groups will be participating in the event - men, women, boys and girls. The cost of the event is 3500 dollars.
Bible expert, Rabbi Uziel Damari, will be the major tester. The event is in memory of Rabbi Uziel's father, Rabbi Shlomo Damari, who passed away a few months ago.
The atmosphere of Torah study is strongly felt in the community! Men, women, and children are running around with their bibles asking each other questions getting ready for this special event. Anyone help in sponsoring this contest will be greatly appreciated.
The test translated in English, is being displayed on our site in order for our Itamar friends to have the opportunity to check their Torah skills as well! Please enjoy.
The people of Itamar want to express its gratitude to all our special supporters that helped us complete the following projects:
Sefer Torah Yitro Asheri has completed writing a sefer
Torah in memory of his son Eliyahu Asheri who was kidnapped and murdered last
summer and in memory of the other murdered children of Itamar.
